Chanakya: Quotes & Lessons

Two very different sources carry Chanakya’s name. The Arthashastra is a real ancient treatise on statecraft associated with Kautilya, quoted here from R. Shamasastry’s 1915 translation. The Chanakya Niti is a later collection of verses traditionally attributed to him; translations of it vary a great deal.
